Dan Brouillette - Photographer, Owner

LOOK Portrait is a brand-new photography studio in Omaha, NE with a second studio located in Sioux City, IA owned by Dan Brouillette. Dan was born and raised in Iowa, and attended Iowa State University where he earned degrees in Psychology and Advertising. After graduating, he moved home and photographed high school seniors where he was named "Top New Senior Photographer in the United States" by the Senior Portrait Artists organization. This was a great honor but Dan had always dreamed of becoming a photographer in New York City. So in 2010 he packed up his car and headed East where he lived and worked as a photographer in Brooklyn, NY.

While in NYC, Dan began working for several magazines and companies such as ESPN, Time, Men's Health, the NFL, Men's Fitness, Women's Health, The Wall Street Journal and many others and he continues to work for them today! He also worked as a test photographer for several New York-based model agencies such as Wilhelmina, Marilyn, and IMG photographing many talented models from all over the world. Dan is also well-known for his lighting and learned many great lighting techniques from photographers such as Peter Yang, Randall Slavin, Max Vadukul and others. Today, Dan continues to be hired to design portrait lighting setups by his friend and amazing photographer, Victoria WIll, in New York for such celebrities as Anna Kendrick, Scarlett Johansson, Anne Hathaway, Sofia Vergara, Alicia Keys, Kristen Stewart, Selena Gomez, Michael Vick, Larry Fitzgerald and many more!

In 2013, Dan moved back to the Midwest to open LOOK Portrait in Omaha as well as a new studio in Sioux City! He plans to take all he learned in NYC and bring a fresh, new approach to senior portraits combining the fun, lifestyle approach of a fashion shoot, mixed with the style of a top-tier magazine. Dan will continue to spend time in NYC working but plans to make the Midwest home!

Nicole Sommer - Studio Manager

Born and raised in Omaha. Nicole first picked up a Pentax K1000 35mm film camera in high school and went on to graduate from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY with a Bachelor’s in Advertising Photo and a minor in Psychology. While in school her photos were awarded Best in Show and purchased for permanent collections by the Wallace Library among many other honors.

After graduating, Nicole moved to Williamsburg Brooklyn where she lived and worked for several years. It was in NYC that she honed her skills Studio Managing and working freelance as a Digital Technician on the set of thousands of photo shoots. Working with such clients as Vogue, Nike, Martha Stewart, Oprah, Target, Olay, Avon, Redken, L’Oreal, Cover Girl, Glamour, Saks, Macy’s, Kate Spade, Nine West, DKNY, Bon Appetit, Food and Wine, Food Network, Every Day with Rachael Ray, MasterCard, Diet Coke, Verizon, Men’s Health, Instyle, Details and Time Magazine.

Her images have been published in multiple magazines and books and she has been featured on several blogs and online sites, more notably on global lifestyle site Guest of a Guest.

She currently lives in midtown Omaha with her husband Jon, Corgi pup Sharkey, and fuzzy black cat Blackers.
